Types of Aid at a Glance
There are several types of aid available. Each is different in how it is awarded and paid back.
- Grants are the most favorable form of aid because you don't need to pay them back. They are awarded based on financial need. More...
- Scholarships like grants don't require you to pay them back. Scholarships are awarded for a variety of reasons including academics, arts, and athletics. More...
- Student Loans are available for students and their parents. Student loans must be paid back, but can be deferred until 6 months after graduation. More...
