When is Transfer Transition?
Transfer Transition takes place before you begin classes. Once you pay your enrollment deposit and activate your UW-Parkside email, you will be able to pick a date that works best with your schedule! You register online to attend.
How much does the program cost?
The new student fee assists in covering the cost for students to attend Transfer Transition. The non-refundable fee for all incoming students is assessed on the fall tuition statement. This fee covers refreshments, materials and all other program-related costs.
What time does Transfer Transition start?
Check your UW-Parkside email for the confirmation. Inside the email you will find the time to check-in and instructions for the day. Students are required to attend the entire program
Where do I park for Transfer Transition?
Park in Lot A (Student Center Parking Lot) in any of the unmarked spaces. Do not park in metered, handicapped or reserved spaces. You do not need a permit during a Transfer Transition Session. Campus Map and Directions
Do I need to bring anything to Transfer Transition?
We will have all the supplies you need! Just get a great nights rest and come prepared to learn, meet your classmates and register for classes!
When do I register for classes?
You will register for classes at Transfer Transition. You will meet with an academic advisor at this time to discuss your course schedule.
What else happens during the day?
By the end of Transfer Transition, you will have taken a tour of campus, learn about the various offices and resources provided, and sit in special sessions where you will talk with current students, faculty and staff about academic and social aspects of the campus. You also will get your Ranger Card (Student I.D) picture taken.
Are parents and/or a guest required to attend Transfer Transition?
No, parents/guests are not required to attend, but are welcome.
What if I can't attend a session?
Transfer Transition is mandatory in order to register for classes. If you choose not to attend you will need to make alternate arrangements with the Advising and Career Center. Please note that you will not be able to register until the open enrollment process. Since Transfer Transitions is mandatory, the fee is still assessed. There are no refunds.
