
Welcome! You are about to begin the process of learning how your sub-scores on your ACT, Wisconsin Placement Test Exam or SAT can impact the courses you will take at UW-Parkside this fall. There are a few things you will need to keep in mind as you work through the planning worksheet:

- This worksheet is to prepare you for the conversation with your advisor at orientation
- You will be given a physical copy of the Guide for Student Success at orientation
- Your advisor will help you make the final decision with your classes.

Determining your MATH COMPETENCY |
Write your most recent ACT/WPT/or SAT sub-score in the Math Competency box on the worksheet
Refer to the UW-Parkside Cut Scores for Placement Chart to find your Math score.
Ex. Math ACT is 16 = ACSK A015 Elementary Algebra

Determining your ENGLISH COMPETENCY |
As previously, find your most recent ACT/WPT/ or SAT sub-score in the English Competency box on the worksheet
Refer to the UW-Parkside Cut Scores for Placement Chart to find your English score.

Determining your READING COMPETENCY |
In similar fashion to step three and four, you will use your ACT/WPT/or SAT sub-score in Reading to correlate the Cut Scores for Placement Chart to find the course placement.
