Who we are

Who are the Academic Staff, anyway?

  1. Academic staff are in classrooms and on the field as athletic trainers, clinical professors, coaches, lecturers, and associate lecturers.

  2. Academic staff are archivists, librarians, artists, student advisors, counselors, deans, career planning and placement specialists, admissions personnel, outreach and continuing education specialists, computer experts, residence hall managers, and academic planners. All of these professionals are directly and indirectly responsible for the overall quality of education received by undergraduate and graduate students.

  3. Academic staff are administrative specialists, policy and planning analysts, budget officers, controllers, consultants, and directors of computing, affirmative action, media development and publications.

These positions are either unique to higher education and/or provide direct support for academic programming and/or develop and implement policies. Academic staff are professionals who contribute daily to the quality and reputation of the University recognized and respected in our communities.
