Mission/Purpose:
The Affirmative Action Council is a University committee appointed by the Chancellor. The Council serves in an advisory and guidance capacity on Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Opportunity issues at the University via the Assistant to the Chancellor for Equity and Diversity. The Council's duties will include review of University search and screen policies and practices, discrimination and harassment concern and complaint procedures, and any University policies and practices which directly affect AA/EEO as well as reviewing and monitoring of goals set for the University's State and Federal Affirmative Action plans.
