The Wisconsin Legislature
has adopted the Clean Indoor Air Act, S.101.123, Wisconsin Statutes, which describes
areas of public buildings where smoking is prohibited and where smoking can
be regulated.
Pursuant to the Act:
Smoking is Prohibited
in:
1. The lobbies, foyers,
corridors, concourse and other common areas, including stairwells and elevators,
of buildings owned and occupied by the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
2. All motor vehicles owned
and operated by the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
3. All offices, whether
occupied by one individual or by more than one person.
4. All meeting rooms, classrooms,
lecture halls and restrooms in buildings owned and occupied by the University
of Wisconsin-Parkside.
Violators:
Violators of this policy
may be subject to the appropriate university disciplinary process.
Effective Date:
This policy is effective September 1, 1992.
