The Academic Policies Committee met on March 19, 2001, in CA 136. The Chair, E. Zepp, called the meeting to order at 12:05 P.M. Also attending were D. Davidson, M. Gurtman, D. Kaufman, R. Lott, D. Olsen, J. Ostheimer, M. Power, S. Thomson, members and guests: L. Duetsch and L. Gellott.
The minutes of the meeting of November 20, 2000 were approved as distributed by e-mail.
Proposed changes to the
add/drop/withdrawal policy, as created by the ad-hoc committee of L. Duetsch,
L. Gellott, R. Lott, and M. Power were presented and discussed. With the amendment
to the paragraph on drops, "After the deadline, a student should first
discuss the circumstances with the instructor," the policy was approved
unanimously (motion D. Olsen, second
M. Gurtman).
The committee established April 2nd, 12:00 as the next meeting time, should one be needed.
The meeting adjounred as 12:45 P.M.
