Minutes of the Academic Policies Committee
for September 22, 1999

The Academic Policies Committee for 1999-2000 was convened Wed. Sept. 22, 1999 at 12:05 P.M., CA 233, by E. Zepp, convener. Also present were L. Carlson, S. Christoph, M. Gurtman, D. Kaufman, R. Lott, and M. Power.

The minutes of the meeting of April 28, 1999 were approved as read.

E. Zepp, Chair, 1998-9, submitted the committee report to the Senate for that year.

E. Zepp was elected Chair for 1999-2000.

The next meeting date was set for Friday, Oct. 8, 1999 at 2:00 P.M., CA 233.

Suggested agenda items for the year were:

--the 60 credit limit on certain General Education requirements

--a time limit on credits previously completed at the university

--the Honors Policy

--Executive Actions--is there a general policy?

--Associate Degrees

The questions of the 60 credit limit and Executive Actions were placed on the agenda for Oct. 8th.
