Present were Carol Lee Saffioti-Hughes, Frank Mueller, Judith Tucker-Snyder, Richard Lott, Fred Monardi, Alan Crist, and Cynthia Jensen.
1. The committee by consenus agreed to have Carol Lee Saffioti-hughes chair the committee for the academic year.
2. The meeting dates have been set, pending consultation with Christine Evans who has agreed to serve on the committee, as follows:

Thursday, Dec. 14 at 3:30
If we cannot accomodate
Christine Evans with this schedule, the chair will inform the rest of the committee.
3. The committee approved the annual report for submission to senate, for the year 1999-2000
4. We reviewed the admissions and enrollment reports current as of Sept. 18, and raised several questions for further consideration.
5. We distributed copies of Admissions policies from around the system; Cynthia Jensen has agreed to provide us with the most current statements of those policies, for our next meeting.
6. We reviewed the report written by Mary Power on May 8, in which she summarizes issues related to the use of the English and Math placement tests in addition to the ACT tests. We agreed to pursue the possibility of a correlation study using ACT data and our own placement data, and to determine the current status of the use of the WEPT test and the math test on other campuses in the system.
7. We considered Theron Snell's request to examine the current policy related to tuition remission for foreign students.
8. We agreed that we should review the current policies related to both the general admissions appeals procedure, and the Minority Appeals Review procedure.
