Minutes of the Athletic Board Meeting
May 3, 2004

Present: Bob Canary, Jim Crowley, Doug DeVinny, Bill Murin, Steve Nelson, Mary Power, Rich Walasek, and Dave Williams
Absent: Samantha Kromm – SAAC, Will Traber – PSGA

Chair Walasek called the meeting to order, reminded committee members to submit evaluation comments on Dave Williams, and turned the meeting over to Dave Williams.

1. Likely conflict between final exams and the NCAA baseball tournament -- with the baseball team likely to appear in the tournament, after discussion, the Board agreed to send a message to instructors encouraging them to make suitable arrangements with the baseball players in their classes. The student athletes need to contact their instructors as soon as possible.

2. After discussion, it was agreed that Nate Perry’s final grades for Spring 2004 should be reviewed, and if they are satisfactory, he would receive financial aid starting in September 2004.

3. The Board is invited to the Award luncheon on May 5 th

4. June 7 th is the Annual Golf Outing at Meadowbrook.

5. Meeting was adjourned at 12:35pm
