Minutes of the Committee on Academic Planning
for December 15, 2003

Call to Order:

The meeting was called to order at 3:05 PM by Prof David Holmes, Chair. Present in addition were Profs Norm Cloutier, Walter Feldt, Wendy Leeds-Hurwitz, Ms Doris Nice, and Assoc Provost Jerry Greenfield, members. Absent were Prof. Scott Thomson and student Dave Koss.

Business:

Program Appraisal Framework (PAF) Statements

Associate Provost Greenfield said that the provost had received ten PAF submissions from the departments.

Program Review - Art

Prof Cloutier agreed to record the commentary resulting from the Committee's discussion of the program review materials submitted by the
Department of Art. The report can be found at http://uwp.edu/staff/gov/faccom/cap/0304/art.cfm.

During the discussion, the activity hour, a time during which no classes may be scheduled, currently M-W-F from noon to 1 pm, was also discussed since the Department of Art has scheduling problems because of this prohibition.
