Minutes of the Committee on Academic Planning
April 29, 2008

Present: David Bruning, Alice Chang, Doug DeVinny, Mark Eichner, Susan Takata, Joy Wolf, Dean Yohnk. Excused: John Longeway Absent: David Wilson.

Invited Guests: Don Cress, Fred Ebeid, Jerry Greenfield , Dennis Kaufman

The meeting was called to order at 2:06 p.m. by Takata, chair.
Minutes of April 22, 2008 were approved.

Announcements
* Takata mentioned that CAP’s charge remains the same as a result of the recent Faculty Senate meeting.

Meeting with Interim Provost and Deans

The committee met with Jerry Greenfield, Donald Cress and Fred Ebeid to discuss a variety of issues: our evaluation of this year’s PARs, the PAR process, the relationship between PARs and academic planning.

At 3:11 pm, Cress and Ebeid left the meeting.

Economic Department Request

In response to Dennis Kaufman’s request, the committee met with him to answer his questions regarding the PAR process.

At 3:19 pm, Greenfield left the meeting.
