Minutes of the Meeting of May 10, 2004

 

Present: M. Gurtman (Chair), L. McCann, L. Moeller, E. Wilson. Absent: M. Mullen, L. Zaibert

Guest: J. McKeever

The meeting convened at 12:35 pm.

Minutes from the previous meeting of 4/9 were approved.

J. McKeever joined the meeting to discuss proposals from MUS.

The following changes to MUS were approved, as noted:

• Revision of Certificate in Piano Pedagogy and Literature
• Revision of Curricular Piano Pedagogy and Literature Concentration
• MUS 105 (add), 204 (delete), 104 (prereq, title).

CAP will receive a copy of the committee’s actions on the certificate and concentration changes. The changes were not considered substantial.

Note that the description for MUS 450 should be modified to indicate that the course is repeatable for credit.

Proposals from THEA were not acted on due to time problems. The proposals will be considered by the Committee via email.

L. Moeller will meet with E. Wilson and M. Gurtman (and any other interested members) this summer to develop a comprehensive web page for the committee.

The meeting adjourned at 1 pm. No new meetings are now scheduled.
