The meeting convened at approximately 12:05 pm.

The minutes of the meeting of 9/13/06 were reviewed and approved.

The committee apprised Hansen of issues we noted at the last meeting. [He subsequently informed Mullen that CCC had approved the name change for MIS 322 the previous year.]

The committee requested a change in the wording of the prerequisite (reflected above). We also requested that the description be augmented to reflect that the course may be repeated for credit with different topics and that the course meets for two hours per week for eight weeks.

CSCI 440 Computer Design and Implementation                                                 3 credits

The committee agreed that three credits was a more appropriate number for the course than four due to workload, credit transfer needs, etc.

PHYS 102 Principles of Physics with Medical Applications                                 4 credits

Approved pending departmental approval of minor changes added by CCC chair

Effective: Spring 2007, Offered: Fall/Spring
The committee approved this course with made minor changes to clarify the course description. We also referred the PHYS chair, Schmidt, to General Education Director, Allen to discuss the process for listing this course for general education requirements.

The meeting adjourned at 1:50. The next meeting will be Oct. 20 at 2:00. Meetings for the remainder of Fall 2006 will be scheduled via e-mail.
