Minutes of the Course and Curriculum Committee
for Monday, Oct. 4, 1999

The meeting was called to order by S. Haller at 12:00 PM

Present: D. Bayuzick, M. Gurtman, S. Haller, T. Hanson, P. James, L. Piele

1. Physics request additions and deletions to courses and changes to major curriculum: B. Greenebaum and P. Mohazzabi were present to answer questions. Discussion followed.

Request for additions and deletions to physics courses: approved (5,0,0)

Request of changes to physics curriculum: approved (5,0,0) The committee decided to send the physics curriculum changes to the Committee on Academic Planning for their information.

2. Request from Teacher Education for changes to courses in EC3 program: J. Carpenter was present to answer questions. M. Gurtman and L. Piele had to leave before discussion on this request was concluded.

Request for changes to courses in EC3 program: approved contingent upon receipt of letter from the department summarizing the changes and the rationale for them, and upon renumbering the courses at the 300 level. (3,0,0)

3. No date was sent for the next meeting.
