Minutes of the Committee on Advising
for September 26, 2006

 

Members present: Olsen, Takata, Handrow, Oswald, Elechi, Goodyear (ex-officio), Zanowski (ex-officio), Allen (ex-officio).

Committee Business:

Jonathan Olsen was elected chair, with an another vote for chair coming up in the Spring semester while Olsen is on sabbatical.

The Committee decided to seek applications for the advising award earlier than last year, with a first call for nominations going out in December, and subsequent calls for nominations in late January and February.

The Committee also continued its discussion of the future of the Careers class.
Finally, the Committee received information concerning Phase I Orientation and advising.

The Committee adjourned at 3:30.
