Minutes of the Committee on Research & Creative Activity
for December 1, 2000

The CRCA met on Friday, December 1, 2000, with all members present. The meeting began at 12:10 p.m. with discussion of faculty proposals resulting in the following monetary awards:

Herbert L. Colston (Ass't Prof., Psychology) $200.00
Christine V. Evans (Professor, Geology) $400.00
Benjamin Harris (Professor, Psychology) $950.00
James B. Kinchen, Jr. (Professor, Music) $1,000.00
Daphne Pham (Ass't Prof., Biological Sciences) $1,000.00
Roby Rajan (Professor, Business) $500.00
Joy L. Wolfe (Ass't Prof., Geography) pending $1,000.00

The CRCA also discussed jointly sponsoring a research symposium/conference next term and asked Norman Cloutier to represent the CRCA in preliminary meetings to plan this event.

The Chair also remainded the CRCA that we will invite a member of the Wisconsin Humanities Council (WHC) to conduct an informational workshop next term and encourage junior faculty from all disciplines to attend.

The meeting ended at 1:00 p.m.
