Minutes of the Committee on Research and Creative Activity
for January 29, 2007

The Meeting commenced at 12:10. Present: Christoph, Holmes, Lincke. Visitor: Doug DeVinny.

Since a quorum was not available, no CRCA applications were discussed.

The Regents will visit UWP on March 8-9. Doug DeVinny came to speak to the group about co-sponsoring a research fair to show off UWP research. Although we couldn’t vote on the proposal, we did discuss it, since time is short for planning. Susan Lincke and David Holmes agreed to put together a flier and email to send out to staff to generate interest in the event. Doug DeVinny will receive the research posters, research presentations, and published materials (books, published papers) and work with people to set up the event. The event will include clips of powerpoint presentations rotating on computer displays, potentially with audio. It was agreed that in the future CRCA should collect powerpoint presentations of our research presentations for uses such as these.

Future meetings will be held Mondays at noon on March 5 and April 9.
