Minutes of the Meeting of the Faculty Rights and Responsibilities Committee
October 18, 2005

Attending: Profs. L. Allen, N. Cloutier, D. Holmes, P. James, G. Mayer, E. Zepp
Guests: Profs. S. Christoph, D. Rome

The meeting was convened at 3:35 PM in Greenquist 113.

1. Prof. Mayer, as convener, asked for nominations for chair of the Committee. Prof. Cloutier nominated Prof. Mayer (seconded by Prof. James). Prof. Mayer was elected chair 6-0-0.

2. The minutes of the meeting of 3 June 2005 were approved 6-0-0.

3. The meeting time of 3:30 on Tuesday seemed acceptable to the members should further business come before the Committee, provided, as Prof. Zepp noted, that we avoid conflict with meetings of the Senate.

4. Prof. Mayer moved (seconded by Prof. Allen) that the Committee go into closed session pursuant to Wisc. Stat. 19.85(1)(b), (c) & (f) for the purpose of discussing a faculty disciplinary matter. The motion was approved 6-0-0.

5. The Committee adjourned from within the closed session at 4:25 PM
