Minutes of the Lectures & Fine Arts Committee
for April 12, 2002

Present: T. Bell, M. Gurtman, C. Lindner, S. McGlaughlin, N. Sicuro Absent: V. Gregory

The meeting convened at 2 pm.

Minutes of the meeting of March 6 were accepted without change. However, a correction to a previous award was noted: F. Akindes requested and received $200, not $150 as indicated in a previous email.

The chair reported that the committee's remaining budget was $1,022.

The following proposals were approved in the amounts indicated:

• Cultural Presentation of Capoeira Batuque (James): $400

• Lecture by Geneticist/Noevlist (Mayer): $250

• Print Framing (DeVinny): $372. Note: Request for $300 was augmented so that additional prints could be framed, as per informal discussion with DeVinny.
