Minutes of the Personnel Review Committee
for February 16, 2007

CALL TO ORDER

The meeting was called to order at 4:10pm by Mary Kay Schleiter, Chair.  Also attending were members Herb Colston, Karen Crooker, Chris Evans, Fran Kavenik, James Kinchen, Judith Tucker-Snider, and Rich Walasek.

Fran moved and Karen seconded the motion to go into closed session as permitted by Wis Stats 19.85(1)(b) and (c) to consider recommendations from the academic departments for promotion to associate professor and/or tenure. APPROVED (Ayes: 9, Nays: 0).

The candidates for tenure and for tenure and promotion were discussed and votes were taken.  The vote talleys were the following:

Chi-Wing Fok, Department of Business           8 ayes, 1 nay, 0 abstentions.

Susan Funkenstein, Department of Art            8 ayes, 1 nay, 0 abstentions.

Alvaro Garcia, Department of Music                 9 ayes, 0 nay, 0 abstentions.

John Skalbeck, Department of Geoscience      7 ayes, 1 nay, 0 abstentions.

ADJOURNMENT

The Committee concluded the closed session at 5:50 PM.
