Minutes of the Full Professor Subcommittee
of the Personnel Review Committee
for February 2, 2007

1) The Full Professor Subcommittee of the Personnel Review Committee was called to order by Chair Frances Kavenik at 3:10 P.M.  Also attending were members Chris Evans, David Holmes, James Kinchen, Judi Tucker-Snider and Evelyn Zepp, Secretary of the Faculty.

2) The minutes (open and closed) of the meeting of January 19, 2007 were approved as distributed.

3) It was MOVED (Evans) and SECONDED (Kinchen) that the Committee convene in closed session pursuant to Wis. Stats. 19.85(1) (b) and (c) for the purpose of reviewing cases advanced by academic departments for promotion to Full Professor.  The motion was APPROVED (5 ayes, 0 nays, 0 abstentions).

4) The committee voted by written ballot: 5 ayes, 0 nays, 0 abstentions to approve the promotion to Full Professor of Prof. Sylvia Beyer.

5) The committee voted by written ballot: 5 ayes, 0 nays, 0 abstentions to approve the promotion to Full Professor of Prof. Herbert Colston.

6) The committee voted by written ballot: 5 ayes, 0 nays, 0 abstentions to approve the promotion to Full Professor of Prof. John Longeway.

The Secretary of the Faculty will send out letters.

7) The meeting was adjourned at 3:05 P.M.
