Minutes of the University Committee
December 8, 2000

The Committee met at 8:35 in 262 CART. Members present were John Buenker, Walter Feldt, Laura Gellott, Fran Kavenik, Greg Mayer, and Carol Lee Saffioti-Hughes. Also present was Larry Duetsch.

While savoring a variety of holiday treats brought to the meeting by Professors Buenker, Gellott, Kavenik, and Saffioti-Hughes, the Committee identified faculty members who should be asked to serve on a search and screen committee for an Alumni Activities Coordinator.

Professors Gellott and Kavenik reported on the most recent meeting of the University Planning Council. They also reported on their recent meeting with the faculty of the Teacher Education Department.

Professor Gellott MOVED (seconded by Professor Mayer) that the Committee convene in closed session under the provisions of Wis. Stats. 19.85(1)(c) for the dual purpose of 1) discussing the results of the survey of Faculty/Staff Perceptions of Administrative Performance by Chancellor Keating, Provost Ostheimer, and Dean Cress and 2) preparing a narrative summary of those results. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
