The Committee met at 2:05 in D135 MOLN. Members present were Walter Feldt, Susan Haller, Peggy James, James Kinchen, Don Kummings, and Greg Mayer. Also present was Larry Duetsch.
The Committee reviewed and approved the agenda for the April 23 meeting of the Faculty Senate. Members discussed the nature of an oral question (that would be directed to the Acting Chancellor) concerning authorization of a charter school in Racine.
The Committee identified a nominee for a vacant seat on the Committee on Health, Safety, and the Physical Environment.
The Committee discussed the possible role for a faculty ombudsman and agreed to gather additional information before the matter is taken up again in the summer.
The Committee directed the Secretary of the Faculty to gather information over the summer months so that the Senate can consider appropriate resolutions of appreciation (for departed staff members) in the fall.
