Minutes of the University Committee
for September 3, 2002

The Committee met at 2:05 in D135 MOLN. Members present were John Buenker, Peggy James, James Kinchen, Don Kummings, Greg Mayer, and Gary Wood. Also present were Larry Duetsch, Walter Feldt, Tim Fossum, and Gene Goodman.

The Committee had asked members of the Committee on Academic Planning to join them to continue the discussion of the proposed academic program appraisal process.

The discussion that ensued dealt with each of the indicators for all five program evaluation criteria. Numerous additions, deletions, and minor modifications were agreed to. (The document that resulted from this discussion is attached.) It was agreed that the amended document should be circulated to those present and sent to the Provost well in advance of the joint meeting that will be held with her on September 24.
