Chris Evans, Farida Khan, Dennis Rome and Evelyn Zepp (Interim Secretary of the Faculty) met at 4:00 P.M.  Without a quorum, business could not proceed.  The other three members were at the meeting of the Chancellor search committee and still had not arrived at 5:00 P.M.

Since the Senate agenda, at the very  least, needed to be approved, it was decided that the new business would be approved by e-mail ballot.
