The University Committee met on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 in Wyllie Hall room 337.

  

Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 2:30 p.m.  Attending were committee members Herb Colston, Peggy James and Greg Mayer, 2009-2010 committee members Rob Barber and Stu Hansen, Gary Wood as Secretary of the Faculty and Chancellor Ford as an invited guest.

Introductions and Discussion

There was no set agenda for this meeting.  Introductions were made and the committee members and the Chancellor discussed a wide range of issues including strategic planning, searches for the Provost, the Interim Associate Provost and the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, and faculty hiring policies and procedures

  

Adjournment

The meeting was adjourned at 4:00 p.m.
