Minutes of the University Committeee
for February 2, 1999

Members present were Laura Gellott, Fran Kavenik, James Kinchen, Carol Saffioti-Hughes, and Lee Van Dyke. Also present were Larry Duetsch, Lee Goldesberry, and Tom Peischl.

Dr. Peischl and Mr. Goldesberry briefed the Committee on steps they are taking to achieve Y2K compliance on the campus. They are confident about maintaining continued operation of the computer systems that are within their realm of responsibility, but are concerned that they may not be aware of all the equipment and software that faculty/staff rely on. Their objective is to help users avoid problems, particularly in situations in which it is critical to maintain continuous operations. To get timely help, anyone who has a concern about the Y2K compliance of critical equipment or software should call or e-mail Mr. Goldesberry soon.
