Minutes of the University Committee
for June 26, 2000

The Committee met at 1:00 in 262 CART. Members present were Walter Feldt, Laura Gellott, Fran Kavenik, and James Kinchen. Also present were Larry Duetsch, Clara New, and Dwayne Olsen.

With input from Professors New and Olsen, the Committee discussed a variety of issues related to oversight of the teacher certification programs. It was felt that benefit could be derived from creation of a teacher certification advisory council composed of representatives drawn from the five electoral divisions of the College of Arts and Sciences.

The meeting adjourned at 2:45.
