Resolution of Appreciation: Dennis Stevenson

WHEREAS Professor Dennis Stevenson has taught at University of Wisconsin-Parkside since 1975; and in those years assisted in the development of the Engineering Technology program, once one of the largest programs at UW-Parkside, and

WHEREAS Professor Stevenson taught numerous courses in the Engineering Technology and Pre-engineering programs, and

WHEREAS Professor Stevenson provided leadership to the engineering programs, serving as Department Chair for six years, and

WHEREAS Professor Stevenson enthusiastically and effectively changed teaching assignments by teaching quantitative methods classes in the Department of Business, and

WHEREAS Professor Stevenson has demonstrated commitment to students by serving as faculty advisor to several student clubs, and 

WHEREAS Professor Stevenson has published several pedagogical articles and a book related to Engineering Graphics, and

WHEREAS Professor Stevenson, and his wife, Karen, have been frequent supporters of UW-Parkside’s Music program, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Faculty Senate pays tribute to Professor Stevenson’s accomplishments and wishes him well in retirement.
