Emeritus Status to Retiring Members of the Faculty
PSF 3/11-12

Resolved, that PSF 7/80-81 is amended as follows.

Emeritus Status may be granted to retiring members of the Faculty in recognition of meritorious achievement during a long period of service at UW-Parkside and its predecessor units if appropriate.

A recommendation for emeritus status shall originate with the appropriate departmental executive committee. It shall be forwarded to the dean who may seek the advice of the Personnel Review Committee before forwarding will then forward his/her recommendation to the Chancellor.

Rationale:  The Personnel Review Committee has determined that the committee’s participation in this process is unnecessary.

The approved resolution amends PSF 7/80-81.
