Center for Ethnic Studies

The mission of this center shall be to encourage faculty research and creative activity in areas related to race and ethnicity, to serve as a resource for the incorporation of materials related to race and ethnicity in al aspects of the UW-Parkside curriculum, to offer interdisciplinary courses, programs, and workshops in ethnic studies, and to develop and administer a formal program of study in ethnic studies.

Center for Interdisciplinary Studies

The mission of this center shall be to encourage faculty research and creative activity in areas of interdisciplinary scholarship not assigned to other centers, to serve as a resource for the incorporation of interdisciplinary perspectives in all aspects of the UW-Parkside curriculum, to offer special interdisciplinary courses, and to administer the program of study currently known as Human Behavior and Society.

Center for International Studies

The mission for this center shall be to encourage faculty research and creative activity in areas of international studies, to serve as a -resource 'for the incorporation of international perspectives in all aspects of the UW-Parkside curriculum, to offer interdisciplinary courses, programs, and workshops in international studies, and to administer the program of study in International Studies.

Center for Labor Studies

The mission of this center shall be to encourage faculty research and creative activity in labor studies, to offer interdisciplinary courses, programs, and workshops in labor studies, and to administer the program of study in Labor Studies.

Center for Science Education

The mission of this center shall be to serve as a focus for the university's response to the needs of elementary and secondary schools in the field of science education and to offer appropriate courses, programs, and workshops in science education.

Center for Women's Studies

The mission of this center shall be to encourage faculty research and creative activity in women's studies, to serve as a resource in incorporating sensitivity to issues of gender in all aspects of the UW-Parkside curriculum, to offer interdisciplinary courses, programs, and workshops in women's studies, and to administer the program of study in Women's Studies.

The Honors Program and Freshman Seminars Program shall be organized and governed on the same basis as the interdisciplinary centers.
