Certificate Programs Offered

UW Parkside has initiated this professional program to certify coaches for interscholastic and institutional athletic programs.  This certification is designed to meet a state and national wide need for trained coaches.

Students seeking a coaching certificate must satisfy the general requirements for graduation or hold a bachelor's degree from another institution

HESM 211 Sport Safety Training with Automated External Defibrillation
HESM 301 Sport Conditioning Practice Design
HESM 345 Prevention and Care of Injuries
HESM 283 Orientation to Coaching
(and two of the following)
HESM 251-266 Coaching Theory 
 Baseball (251), Basketball (252), Soccer (259), Softball (260), Wrestling (265), and Volleyball (266).
