Each year, we try to bring awareness to issues in our community. This year's class has chosen physical fitness in adolescents.
According to the Center for Disease Prevention, children
and adolescents can improve their health and quality of life
by including physical activity into their daily lives. Being physically active early in life has physical, social, and emotional benefits that can lead to a reduced incidence of chronic diseases in adulthood. Health professionals, families, and communities need to make an effort to increase the physical activity levels in children and adolescents.
