Pool Information and Aquatic Programming

Saturday Morning Swim Lessons | Summer Swim Camp


Pool Dimensions:
8 lanes and 25 yards long.

Pool Depth:
Ranges from 3'6" in the shallow end to 8'0" in the deep end. The diving well is 12'6"deep and has a 1 meter diving board.

Water and Deck Temperature:
Between 84-86 degrees. The water is warmer for our childrens learn to swim classes.

Appropriate Swim Wear: No thong bikini's allowed, men and women No Tee shirts or cut off short/pants. Only attire designed for water activities permitted. Goggles are strongly recommended. Flotation devices and snorkels are not permitted. Water wings may be used on children but only under the direct supervision of an adult.

595-2780, The pool hotline provides the most current and up to the minute information about the pool and activities scheduled.

Pool Usage Guidelines:
Any patron under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult in order to use the pool. Identification may be asked upon entering the pool. Flotation devices and snorkels are not permitted. Children may use water wings under the direct supervision of an accompanion adult.
Children 4 years and older must use same gender locker room or the Lifeguard locker room.

All Swimmer must bring a vaild Id and show it to the lifeguard in order to swim.

UW Parkside Aquatic Courses Offering Certification
American Red Cross Lifeguard Training
-open to any student at least 15 yrs of age or greater. Wisconsin will not employ lifeguards until their 16th birthday. Frequency: Every spring, second 8 weeks.
American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor-open to any student 17 yrs or older and at Level VI of the Learn to Swim Program. Frequency: Every fall, second 8 weeks.
PADI Open Water Scuba Diving
-open to students interested in becoming certified as a PADI Open Water Diver. There is a course fee of $80 and additional course work required outside of class to complete the certification process. Frequency: Every semester.

Aquatic Programming:
Saturday Morning Swim Lessons, Fall and winter semester
Summer Swim Camp, Three-two week sessions. Lessons are 50 minutes with a 10 minute free time.  Swim Camp begins in June and ends either the end of July .
Water Aerobics, It is free for all UW Parkside students with a vaild Ranger Card.
