The Strength & Conditioning Center and the Sports Medicine Center
The Strength & conditioning Center is designed to serve UW-Parkside athletes, students, faculty/staff, alumni and members of the community by providing a safe place exercise. It features a vast variety of cardiovascular equipment, Olympic lifting platforms/equipment, resistance training machines, and free weight equipment along with plenty of open space for stretching and individualized exercises.
The fitness facilities were founded on academically-based experience and are operated primarily by UW-Parkside students majoring in health/fitness related fields.
Full-time students have pre-paid for their membership through their segregated fees; all others must pay an annual fee to establish a membership. All memberships last 12 months from the date of purchase and include access to the entire Sports & Activity Center. Locker rental and laundry services are also available. A ranger card is required for access. Additionally, all students who are currently registered for HESM 270 Lifetime Wellness or HESM 171 Fitness for Life will be granted a membership for the duration of the semester.
