Dollars for $ense Guidelines

UW-PARKSIDE – DOLLARS FOR $ENSE PROGRAM exists to reward Classified and/or LTE employees for their suggestions and ideas that will result in measurable savings, increased efficiencies, and/or improvements in the work environment.

Suggestions may come from any Classified or LTE employee. Employees may submit an unlimited number of suggestions.

Suggestions should be marked “Dollars for $ense” Committee and a hard copy must be submitted quarterly to Roberta Odegaard (CART 285) by the following dates: October 1, January 1, April 1, July 1.

All suggestions will be date stamped “Received.” In case of duplicate suggestions, the first received will be considered for the award.

Awards will be issued in the form of a check from Foundation funds.

Each quarter, the Committee may choose two suggestions for a $25 award and one suggestion for a $50 award. The $50 award winners will be eligible for the $100 award drawing at an annual reception.

Ideas may be resubmitted only if that idea has not received a previous award.

All award winners and their supervisors will be invited to an annual reception at which time the $100 award will be presented.

The award winners, their ideas and amounts awarded will be announced in the Communiqué.
