Assistant Professor, GRAPHIC/WEB DESIGN

The Art Department at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside invites application for an Assistant Professor in Graphic/Web Design beginning August 2013.

The successful applicant should have abilities and teaching experience in Web Design, Digital Illustration, Interface Design, and motion graphics. Applicant should have secondary abilities in Graphic Design and Drawing. Teaching experience along with evidence of continued involvement in the field of design is considered important.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• MFA in Web Design or related field
• Demonstrated professional experience in Web Design

Preferred:

• 1+ year(s) of college level teaching beyond graduate school
• Proficiency in industry standard Web Design, Interface Design, photo manipulation, and Digital Illustration software.
• Demonstrated experience teaching, web design, interface design, and digital illustration
• Strong background and commitment to studio art
• Demonstrated ability to teach 2-D Design, and Intro to Drawing
• Experience working with students of diverse and multicultural backgrounds (including non-traditional-aged students, first generation students)
