Lecturer, Composition and Reading
The Department of Learning Assistance at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside invites applications for a full-time, nine-month appointment as a Lecturer in Composition/Reading to begin August 2008. The mission of Learning Assistance is to provide UW-Parkside students the opportunity to develop diverse skills and strategies necessary for academic success.
Required Qualifications: Master's degree in English composition or a related field, experience in teaching composition/reading to college students or in secondary education, excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrated ability to work with a diverse student body, and an interest in the expanding uses of technology.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching developmental or college composition or developmental reading. Experience with organized student success initiatives.
Salary
Commensurate with experience. The University of Wisconsin System provides a liberal benefits package, including participation in a state pension plan.
