Advisor, Pre-Health Program
The College of Arts and Sciences and the Pre-Health Program at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside invites applications for a full-time Advisor.
Qualifications
Required: Candidates must have a minimum of a Master’s Degree, direct experience in academic advising of students at the University/College level, the ability to quickly gain and apply knowledge of professional health advising, demonstrated knowledge in preparing students for standardized exams, and demonstrated ability to work effectively with a culturally diverse student population.
Preferred: Candidates with two years experience working with students in pre-professional health programs at the University/College level are preferred. In addition, candidates possessing strong communication skills (oral and written) are preferred. Knowledge of/Experience in University/College level recruiting and admissions is also preferred. In addition, knowledge of professional health programs is also preferred.
Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be expected to work under the supervision of the Director of the Pre-Health Program in all aspects of advising as it relates to students enrolled in the various Pre-Health Programs at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
Salary:
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. The University of Wisconsin System provides a liberal benefits package, including participation in a state pension plan.
