Administrative Program Manager II – Director, Student Success Center
The University of Wisconsin-Parkside invites applications for an Administrative Program Manager II – Director of Student Success Center. This position is funded by a Federal Title III “Strengthening Institutions” grant.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitate the establishment and management of the Student Success Center and integration of academic support services.
- Work with appropriate university personnel in developing policies and procedures to govern the Student Success Center.
- Assist in monitoring the Student Success Initiative and First-Year Experience budget.
- Supervise Student Success Center staff, including First-Year Experience Coordinator, FYE advisors, and Student Assistants.
- Lead Student Success Center Advisory Committee meetings.
- Manage the development of specific, collaborative support activities and programs, such as the Summer Bridge Program, Conditional Admission Program, Early Alert System, and Academic Probation Program.
- In collaboration with other units, assist with the design of specific faculty/staff training and professional development programs related to student success.
- Coordinate the communication activities related to the Student Success Initiative.
- Serve as liaison between the Student Success Center and other campus offices, departments, K-12 schools and school districts, and key community stakeholders.
- Actively promote program-related communication among stakeholders on campus and in the community.
- Responsible for compliance with Federal grant regulations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Four or more years of full-time, progressively responsible work experience managing the programmatic, administrative, and fiscal aspects of student support and success programs.
- Experience with student success programs in a post-secondary educational environment.
- Experience addressing the needs, challenges, and barriers to success of at-risk students.
- Experience working with diverse students, faculty, and staff.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Evidence of strong technology skills, especially using student information systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's/Doctoral degree in higher education administration, college student personnel, counseling, educational psychology, or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Experience working with State or Federal grant-funded programs.
- Experience developing and/or coordinating professional development training for faculty and staff.
- Experience developing and implementing summer bridge programs.
- Experience working effectively with a variety of community-based organizations.
