Participants will have a once in a life time experience of the classical and vibrant culture of Italy. The Università della Calabria will provide a complete immersion program that will allow students learn the Italian language and be engaged with the culture. There is no better way to learn the Italian language!
This program goes beyond a classroom education, students will be able to see the sites, hear the sounds and taste the food of Southern Italy.
The
Università della Calabria is one of the largest universities in Italy,
with more than 35,000 students on campus. It is a modern university only
40 years old and is the only Italian university that is known as a “campus”. The
campus is located in the mountainous area of Calabria and is very close to
both Mediterranean Sea and the National Park known as “Parco Nazionale
della Sila.”
The Program includes:
- Eight weeks of instruction. Students will be in class for 10 hours per week. All classes will be on the Università della Calabria campus
- An English speaking group leader will be assigned to the students for the entire 8 weeks.
- Tours of the local communities around the Università della Calabria, such as Cosenza, Castrolibero, and Rende.
- Tours of other cultural sites of Calabria and visits to the famous sea
towns such as Tropea.
No prior knowledge of the Italian language necessary
