Library Room Reservations
University of Wisconsin-Parkside Library

Students wishing to make room reservations should contact the Check out desk (x2238). Faculty and staff wanting to make room reservations should contact Jan Mico, Administrative Program Assistant (x2356) unless otherwise noted below. Rooms may be reserved for up to four hours unless otherwise noted, and reservations must be made at least one hour prior to use. All reservations are scheduled using calendar software. Staff taking the reservation will post a reservation sign on/near the door of the reserved room. Except for the Faculty/staff lounge, no food or beverages may be served in any of these rooms. Room setup is the responsibility of the individual or group making the reservation, and rooms should be left arranged the way they were found.

1. Library conference room (150H)

Campus units and organizations may reserve the library conference room. For special events, all-day reservations are possible.

2. Faculty/staff lounge (247)

Campus units and organizations may reserve the faculty/staff lounge. For special events, all-day reservations are possible.

3. Viewing/listening rooms (181, 183, 273)

These rooms contain videocassette, DVD, CD, and audiocassette equipment. Students, faculty, and staff may reserve these rooms for viewing and listening.

4. Film room/group study room (167)

This room has a film projector. Students, faculty and staff may reserve the room for viewing films or for group study activities.

5. Group Study/Access room (150K)

This room has a computer, scanner, presentation software, and a device to unload a digital camera. The room is suitable for a group of 2-5 persons who want to sit together around a computer. This room also serves has equipment and software to assist people with special needs.

6. Group study rooms (265, 267, 3421, 3523, 3719, 3821)

Students may reserve group study rooms. If a room is unoccupied/unreserved, it may be used on a first come, first served basis. All group rooms can seat 6 persons, but room 265 can accommodate up to 8 people and 267 can seat up to 12 people.

7. Overlook Lounge (level 2, southeast)

The Overlook Lounge may be used by campus organizations for special events that do not produce noise. It may not be used by regularly scheduled courses nor is intended to be regularly scheduled as a meeting place for organizations or groups. The Administrative Program Assistant will post a sign announcing a reservation using a reusable sign displayed on a tripod.

8. Library classroom/meeting room (269/271)

Faculty, staff, students, campus units and groups may reserve this small classroom, which can accommodate up to 20 people and has a chalkboard. It may be scheduled as a meeting place for organizations or groups.

9. Library instruction classroom (150J)

This classroom contains special equipment and is set up especially for use by instruction librarians. The room may not be used by regularly scheduled courses nor is intended to be regularly scheduled as a meeting place for organizations or groups. In rare situations, when the library classroom (269/271) is not available or not suitable, it is possible the instruction room can be reserved for a group meeting. The room should remain locked unless in use. Contact Erika Behling, Instruction Coordinator (x2642) if you wish to request use of this room.
