New Campus Master Plan

In March 2013, the campus expects to begin a space use and needs assessment that will serve as the first step in creating a new data-informed Campus Master Plan. It has been over a decade since UW—Parkside conducted a thorough space needs assessment, and eight years since the campus last initiated a Campus Master Plan update.

The current Campus Master Plan, completed in August 2006, guided the expansion of the Student Center, Pike River Suites, the Rita Tallent Picken Regional Center for Arts and Humanities, and many changes to campus parking and roadways (see the Executive Summary link below). In guiding growth, the Campus Master Plan assures that the campus retains its unique character and identity, preserves important environmental assets whenever possible, identifies the construction projects necessary to support the campus’ Strategic and Academic Plans, and constructs new buildings that complement the architecture of the original buildings from the late 1960s and early 1970s.

The new Campus Master Plan is expected to be completed by fall 2014. There will be many opportunities for campus community input throughout the process. Please check this website often to follow our progress.
