The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs (OMSA) is committed to the recruitment, retention, and graduation of underrepresented students. OMSA pursues this goal through multiple cultural programs, academic workshops and mentoring services.
Our mission is to Connect, Empower, Develop, students for Success!!! Through academic initiatives students, staff, and faculty share an enriching and enlightening connection to one another, the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Community, and our surrounding communities. Again it is the goal of OMSA to provide resources and opportunities that enhance the growth and development of underrepresented students. Additional resources available through OMSA include scholarship information, employment opportunities, campus referrals, graduate school information and an informal setting for student networking. Ranger Link Internship: An Opportunity for Minority & First generation Students comes to a successful completion!
The Ranger Link Internship Program successfully matched 50 students to community employers. Each student presented on their internship experience at the Ranger Link Symposium on Thursday, December 8 and at the Ranger Link Employer Breakfast on December 9. Employers were impressed at the amount of in-depth talent of UW Parkside students.

A Message for Every Generation: Now accepting applications for Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Service Awards and Essays at the K-12 & College Level
The University of Wisconsin-Parkside is accepting nominations for Community Service Awards to be announced at its Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration on Friday, January 20, 2012, at 7 p.m. in the Rita Tallent Picken Regional Center for Arts and Humanities “Main Stage Theatre” on the campus located at 900 Wood Road in Kenosha.
This Community Service Award is designed to extend homage to recipients who have demonstrated the vision and mission of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through their endeavors within the local community. It recognizes the efforts of community visionaries who are laying the foundations to realize Dr. King's dream.
