Concluding Remarks
The changes outlined in this report reflect the collective experience and engagement of the AMSLC Workgroup in collaboration with the Multicultural/Disadvantaged Coordinators and Precollege Directors systemwide and the staff of the UW System Office of Academic Diversity and Development. The 2006 AMSLC at UW-Milwaukee reflects the first year these changes are implemented. Assessing the impact of these changes on the conference and its participants is vital to determining how to better serve Wisconsin’s multicultural and economically disadvantaged students. Documenting the outcomes of AMSLC will provide UW System and future UW host institutions with invaluable information in order to better align the conference with student needs.
