George Lindquist is an instructor of classical guitar and director of the guitar ensemble at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. He also is an accomplished lutenist. He has performed at universities, colleges, music societies and public libraries throughout Wisconsin and on Wisconsin Public Radio. He has been a member of several ensembles, which have included a classical guitar trio, a flute and guitar duo, and a guitar and harpsichord duo. Mr. Lindquist also performed over 100 concerts sponsored by the Young Audiences of Wisconsin in the elementary and secondary schools. He has taught at UW-Platteville, UW-Madison, and the UW-Madison School of Music Institute, the Madison School of Music, and participate in the UW Summer Music Clinics. He has judged classical guitar competitions, participate in classical guitar seminars and is past Associate Archivist of the Guitar Foundation of America. He received a Master of Music from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Bachelor of Arts from Carthage College in both Music and Business Administration, with a diploma in classical guitar performance. He maintains a private studio in Madison and has recorded for Dr. Black records.
