Scholarships

If you are planning to participate in the Music Department, scholarships are available to music majors, minors and ensemble members. The Music Department makes scholarship awards in amounts that are competitive and comparable to other state universities of our size and scope. It is our goal to make an award to every incoming or continuing music major that is qualified and deserving of aid. The value of these scholarships may be made in amounts up to the full cost of tuition for exceptional student musicians.

Auditions occur every January through April. For upcoming audition dates please refer to Auditions.

The three types of awards available are:

1. Scholarships for incoming music majors,
   
2. scholarships for continuing music majors, and
   
3. scholarships for students who make a positive contribution to the department's premier ensembles.
   

Students will be awarded a scholarship only after they have been admitted to the University. To schedule an audition:
