At the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, we take great pride in our Band organizations, not only for the high quality of performances given throughout our 30 year history, but also for the enduring impact made on the student-musicians that participate in our bands.
It’s very satisfying to know that many of our graduates have pursued advance studies at premier graduate schools of music, and many more have established careers as professional performers and educators. But one of the most rewarding aspects of our jobs is meeting former non-music major students who very often recall their band performance experience as one of the highlights of their college education. We offer a variety of ensemble experiences that appeal to a broad range of musical tastes. Regardless of your major field of study, I sincerely hope you will tale advantage of the music making opportunities available to you at UW-Parkside. About half of our ensemble membership comes from the non-music major student body. We are counting on you to help us achieve another season of rewarding concerts.
