Ready Rangers Basics
- A Pre-Visit – Two weeks prior to the tour a role model visits the participating class for about an hour, explains the program, and completes Activities in Chapter 1 with the class out of the Ready Rangers Activity Book that will be provided by the University. The remainder of the guidebook will be administered throughout the rest of the year during visits from the Role Model to class.
- Tour Day – 5th-graders experience a hands-on, interactive experience of higher education under the guidance of a University of Wisconsin-Parkside role model and instructors for a day field trip. Students will participate in presentations/sessions put on by our faculty, staff, and students.
- Class Visits – The Role Models will make monthly visits to complete the Ready Rangers Activity Book and talk about the "college experience" and what the participants need to do to be college-bound.
- Ready Ranger Programs – University of Wisconsin-Parkside Role Models will plan programs for the participants and their families. Some programs will be in conjunction with other departments on campus and some will be only for the participants of the Ready Rangers Program.
